1 Million Messages is an experimental creative writing blog that shares original works of fiction to highlight gendered violence in romantic relationships. Our short monologue entitled, 'The Refuge' offers a dreamy escape from the perpetrator's watchful eye, and embraces nature and the company of others in a safe space. Our short story entitled, 'Killing Her with Kindness' paints the magical relationship of Candace's dreams, however her fairytale romance with her Prince Charming soon turns dark and dangerous.
